The Last Battle
If it should be that I grow frail and weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep,

We all now how much you loved Daggie, he was a good son. His spirit will always be with you; he has scarred your hearts forever. He is running fast and free and watching over us all.

We're so sorry to hear of Dagwood leaving. It is always hard to say good-bye. We're sure he left many precious memories for you to remember with a smile, even through the tears.

A Special Place
You have a special place, Dear Lord
That I know you'll always keep.
A special place reserved for dogs,
To peacefully fall asleep.
A place with fluffy pillows,
And a yard for hiding bones,
With maybe a little babbling creek,
That rushes over stones.

We just lost one of our Goldens a couple of weeks ago, and I know the heartache you are feeling. Hooo Boy, this is such a tough time for us hoomans who have been blessed with special dogs. Please know we are sending you our condolences and are so happy to meet Dagwood for the first time and read about his adventures and how much he meant to you. The B-hounds turned us on to your site. Lady and I will leave U this, the prayer all dogs have and a few, like your Dagwood, are fortunate enough to have a life filled with the mostest happiness a K9 could ever hope for.

Treat me kindly, my beloved master, for no heart in the world is more grateful for kindness that your loving heart has given to me.
Do not break my spirit with a stick, for though I lick your hand between the blows, your patience and understanding will more quickly teach me the things you would have me do.

We heard of your loss through the Bumpass Hounds and just wanted to say how sorry we are. Words aren't much help but in our brief glimpse of your blog it is obvious Dag was a special boy with a very special family.
